  • 1kg red ripe chillies
  • 50 gms tamarind
  • crystal salt 100gms
  • 2 tbs of gingelly oi
  • 1 tbs urad dal
  • 1/2 tbs mustard seeds
  • asafoetida
  • 1 tbs of roasted fenugreek powder


Step 1

clean them with wet cloth and dry them for 1/2 hr. make pieces of tamarind

Step 2

put small quantities of chillies along with salt and tamarind in blender ....grind it to coarse preserve it in a ceramic jar or a bottle

Step 3

heat 2 tbs of gingelly oil...add 1 tbs urad dal, 1/2 tbs mustard seeds, asafoetida or 7-8 garlic flakes...

Step 4

1 tbs of roasted fenugreek powder to hot tempering... add the mixture to small quantity of pickle for fresh flavour
