  • 1 cup roasted bombay ravva
  • 1-1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • 3 tbs ghee
  • crushed cashew nuts
  • 2 cups of boiling water
  • For Making Dough :
  • 1-1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 3 tsp oil or ghee
  • pinch of salt

Step 1

add salt, ghee/oil to the flour, mix well, add water gradually and make a soft dough. keep it aside and cover it.

Step 2

preparation of halwa : heat kadai, add ghee, rava into it. fry it till it turns light brown. add crushed cashew nuts, mix it well. add 2 cups of boiling water to the mixture. mix it thoroughly. then add sugar, let it cook for 2-3 min. switch off the flame. add cardamom powder. rest it for 1/2 hr to make dumplings.

Step 3

make equal portions of dough as dumplings. as well as with halwa also. take the dumpling of dough, keep it in the middle of palm, press it evenly, keep the halwa portion, cover it thoroughly. continue the procedure till all the mixture is done.

Step 4

heat oil to fry halwa poories

Step 5

take a silver foil or butter paper, keep the covered dumpling on it, press it like a puri with hand.

Step 6

put it into medium heat oil, fry them till they turn golden brown. repeat this all the covered dumplings are done. take them into a bowl and serve hot. they last for 7-10 days
